What's happening at GoBeDo Missions?Update
Greetings Church Family,
Just a quick quote of inspiration to duty and then we will have our report;
Sound an alarm throughout the length and breadth of the earth. Tell the people that the day of the Lord is near and hasteth greatly. Let none be left unwarned. We might have been in the place of the poor souls that are in error. We might have been placed among barbarians. According to the truth we have received above others, we are debtors to impart the same to them. – {6T 22.2}
We have no time to lose. The end is near. The passage from place to place to spread the truth will soon be hedged with dangers on the right hand and on the left. Everything will be placed to obstruct the way of the Lord’s messengers, so that they will not be able to do that which it is possible for them to do now. We must look our work fairly in the face and advance as fast as possible in aggressive warfare. From the light given me of God I know that the powers of darkness are working with intense energy from beneath, and with stealthy tread Satan is advancing to take those who are now asleep, as a wolf taking his prey. We have warnings now which we may give, a work now which we may do; but soon it will be more difficult than we can imagine. God help us to keep in the channel of light, to work with our eyes fastened on Jesus our Leader, and patiently, perseveringly press on to gain the victory. – {6T 22.3}
Hello friends and Church Family,
This morning I have been listening to artillery fire in the far distance praying it’s not in one of our villages, reminding me again of how precious life is and how little time we may have to reach souls desiring truth
These past 6 months have been more trying than all 7+ years we have been stationed here but we praise God that HE has entrusted all of us to work on the front lines while time has still permitted this. Our God is amazing to say the least.
This past month has given us plenty of disappointments but has also given us clearly new hope to press on
Presently our bible workers funds have declined and we are crippled and short handed creating a much more difficult task of shepherding all the villages and yet we are asking God again to give us more new territory, to enlarge the camp. Please join us in prayer as we seek for more of the Lords inheritance in these mountains
In our village of Kagahuman we were just given notice from the Supreme Chieftain that they would not renew our permit to work there after Dec. 31. There reason is that too many are not only listening but are now practicing the faith we are teaching, creating problems over the sacrifice of unclean animals as well as community clean up done on Sabbath days.
Those following God are now being punished and will have to work on their normal work days to make up for not working on the holy sabbath which makes their making a living even more difficult considering they eat hand to mouth and all this because they want to honor their True Creator. They ask if they could do this work on Sun day but it was refused them
We will continue praying for intervention to continue the work there but also be prepared to look at possible options for these new believers who already are becoming oppressed by their own lifelong tribe. Standing for truth has never been popular has it.
In our daily prayers one possible thought has come to us to move several of them here at the mission post to train them so they could return later in their village to be stronger leaders but it might also be that they may never be allowed to return back to their homes so this village now needs even MORE of your PRAYERS
The head Elder of one of our older churches established by the ministry is desiring to come here to the post for more knowledge. It appears many young people in the church there have disappeared into the mountains to join or rejoin the communist rebels. He feels his small knowledge is not enough to keep the church solid and he worries the church will fall. Would any of you be willing to help support him this year for $50-60 per month for his food and needs to come to the post for more bible knowledge? We will also do our best to place missionaries back there as many Sabbaths as we are able and I think it would be possible for the Elder to return a couple Sabbaths each month. MORE PRAYER!
My Mac computer has finally died this past month along with all my editing programs and 5 years worth of sermons and research. I’m hoping to retrieve as much, if any of it when we come back to the States this year so for now I’m limited to my phone.
We have been sheltered here from the world news and even what might be happening in the States but I can tell you that things are heating up against sabbath keepers here. The govt. leaders here have work bees every sabbath where it is required by law to clean up the village you are part of. Because we have favor with the leaders as of now, they are allowing us to work on Sunday but they have been frank with us that in the near future we will face fines and will not be able to get police and area Clarence that is necessary in order to get a license, buy land, get a voters ID etc. that means we could be considered an enemy of the Govt. soon
Our missionaries children are about ready to quit the public school below as the harassment on them worsens by both students and teachers, and teachers are requesting them to do mandatory camping and work bees on sabbath.
What’s going on in America? There must be more going on than we know of because the Beast appears to be gaining strength and the momentum of a freight train in a hurry with no brakes to be found.
Do you hear the rumbling of the Romans brothers and sisters, do you hear it????
More good news…
We have been blessed by European supporters to head up another school project and we are searching and praying for the right teacher for that. One of these supporters happens to be a Lutheran professor and we are praising God that HE still has his children in a variety of places even out of our denomination.
Others helping from Europe have also been a tremendous blessing for many of the projects over the years and I too often forget to say, ” Thank you.”
Four or more boxes have also arrived this past month from Australia with medical supplies, baby clothes, sabbath school supplies, books and hand sown clothing and hats.
We let our missionaries give these out to the tribal converts and neighbors in desperate need which is so awesome for them to be able to give, even if they are still poor financially doing this work. It really helps lift the moral here. Thank you Church Family.
Lastly. Michelle and I and Micaiah will be coming back to the States at the end of Feb. and will remain there until the end of April. We will need to be putting together a sharing schedule soon so please contact me if this is an option in your area. Already we have invitations from CA all the way to Florida.
It won’t be the same for us traveling without our girls and singing together as a family but the funds for International travel were just not enough this time. We also won’t be stationary with a place to stay this time so we will be living in the ministry van taking no thought for tomorrow Luke 12:22.
As we part today I would just like to leave you with this last quote from inspiration:
We have before us a great work, the closing work of giving God’s last warning message to a sinful world. But what have we done to give this message? Look, I beg of you, at the many, many places that have never yet been even entered. Look at our workers treading over and over the same ground, while around them is a neglected world, lying in wickedness and corruption—a world as yet unwarned. To me this is an awful picture. What appalling indifference we manifest to the needs of a perishing world! – {7T 103.4}
May each one of you be blessed and don’t forget to….

Greetings, brethren:
What six years ago began as a simple step of faith has grown into a full-time personal ministry, reaching, teaching and baptizing almost 1,000 souls into the faith in some of the most rugged and feared territory known to the Philippines.
Over the years we have been approached by military, government officials and even many in the organized church asking us why, why we would travel these mountains and continue to risk our lives for the sake of the gospel, and our only response is this:
Our heavenly Father is not a respecter of persons, and all are candidates for the Kingdom.
Everyone is a candidate for heaven
As we are told in the Bible:
“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him” (Acts 10:34, 35).
Romans 2:11 says: “For there is no respect of persons with God.”
Jesus Christ (Yeshua), the only begotten Son of the almighty heavenly Father (Yehovah), has laid down His life for each one of us in hopes of us accepting to follow HIM and gain eternal life.
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” (1 John 3:16).
HE has become our best friend, and we just want to share HIS love with others. He has told us that ALL people are candidates for HIS kingdom and none need be excluded. HE has the power to change even the most savage human being into the softest and most usable instrument in spreading the message of salvation to others, and we want to invite all of you to join us in the saving of precious souls in these mountains of Mindanao in the South Philippines.
One of our favorite verses describing this concept can be found in the book of Isaiah:
“Mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people” (Isaiah 56:7).
Of course open sin that is not repented of can exclude a person from these promises, and that is why as Christians we teach that it is important to confess and repent of sin and then turn away from those sins that cause separation between us and our Creator.
“Come with your whole heart to Jesus. Repent of your sins, make confession to God, forsake all iniquity, and you may appropriate to yourself all His promises. ‘Look unto me, and be ye saved,’ is His gracious invitation” (5T, p. 634).
“What must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30). The answer was, “Repent, and be converted, that your sins may go beforehand to judgment, and be blotted out.”
Do you have shame, guilt and condemnation that you are carrying around for past or present sins? If you do, repent and be saved! It is the devil that stands near and condemns you after Christ has covered you with HIS blood.
Consider these thoughts from inspiration:
You are a sinner. You cannot atone for your past sins. You cannot change your heart and make yourself holy. But God promises to do all this for you through Christ. You believe that promise. You confess your sins and give yourself to God. You will to serve Him. Just as surely as you do this, God will fulfill His word to you. If you believe the promise–believe that you are forgiven and cleansed–God supplies the fact; you are made whole, just as Christ gave the paralytic power to walk when the man believed that he was healed. It is so if you believe it.
Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, “I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.”
Henceforth you are not your own; you are bought with a price. “Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:18, 19). Through this simple act of believing God, the Holy Spirit has begotten a new life in your heart. You are as a child born into the family of God, and He loves you as He loves His Son.
If you give yourself to Him, and accept Him as your Saviour, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ’s character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned.
Put away the suspicion that God’s promises are not meant for you. They are for every repentant transgressor. Strength and grace have been provided through Christ to be brought by ministering angels to every believing soul. None are so sinful that they cannot find strength, purity and righteousness in Jesus, who died for them.
All are called to do service for Him, and for the manner in which they have met this claim, all will be required to render an account at the great judgment day.
Satan is “the accuser of the brethren,” and it is his spirit that inspires men to watch for the errors and defects of the Lord’s people, and to hold them up to notice, while their good deeds are passed by without a mention. He is always active when God is at work for the salvation of souls. When the sons of God come to present themselves before the Lord, Satan comes also among them.
When we are baptized, fully understanding the marriage (covenant) we are agreeing to, it becomes so much easier to understand the truths in the word of God and it becomes a privilege to become co-laborers with the Creator of all the universe.
We have been advised to be more than hearers of the word. We have been ask to be “GoBeDoers,” so let’s get ‘er done (James 1:22). Amen.
We’d like to be part of your family
Welcome to the newly designed web site. As you may know, our past site was somehow taken down. Although no credit cards or personal information was compromised in any way, it was a very big setback. We have lost years of stories and miracles in the experience, but we are praising God today for helping us through a couple of great guys in getting the website back up and running, and also for the extra steps that have gone into making this a much more secure window to the mission.
We are asking each of you to pray for us. As we are working in more and more critical areas than in the past in proclaiming the three angels message, we are going to have to be more careful in what and how we share the mission in the future. At present we are facing giants that only God above can help us to defeat as we continue to move forward in the quest to proclaim the message of hope to a lost world.
Please feel free to drop us a line and become a prayer partner with us. Some have no money to give but they do have time and faith to pray. Although we do need funds to operate and to continue moving forward, we honestly believe it has been the prayers of the saints that have kept this ministry alive all these years.
May each of you be blessed and be convicted to do your part in these last days of earth’s history in teaching and showing Gods loving character to the world around us. Don’t you know? That’s the reason you are here! Amen. “Both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).
If your church doesn’t have a mission project, please consider adopting us as part of your family.
Home missions vs. foreign missions
Consider these words from the pen of inspiration:
“The home missionary work will be farther advanced in every way when a more liberal, self-denying, self-sacrificing spirit is manifested for the prosperity of foreign missions; for the prosperity of the home work depends largely, under God, upon the reflex influence of the evangelical work done in countries afar off. It is in working actively to supply the necessities of the cause of God that we bring our souls in touch with the Source of all power” (Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 27).
“An American business man, who was an earnest Christian, in conversation with a fellow worker, remarked that he himself worked for Christ twenty-four hours of the day. ‘In all my business relations,’ he said, ‘I try to represent my Master. As I have opportunity, I try to win others to Him. All day I am working for Christ. And at night, while I sleep, I have a man working for Him in China.’ In explanation, he added: ‘In my youth I determined to go as a missionary to the heathen. But on the death of my father I had to take up his business in order to provide for the family. Now, instead of going myself, I support a missionary. In such a town of such a province of China, my worker is stationed. And so, even while I sleep, I am, through my representative, still working for Christ’ ” (ChS, 170.4).
“Are there not God’s saints today who will do likewise? Instead of keeping the ministers at work for the churches that already know the truth, let the members of the churches say to these laborers: ‘Go work for souls that are perishing in darkness. We ourselves will carry forward the services of the church. We will keep up the meetings, and, by abiding in Christ, will maintain spiritual life. We will work for souls that are about us, and we will send our prayers and our gifts to sustain the laborers in more needy and destitute fields’ ” (Testimonies, vol. 6, pp. 29, 30).
Won't you drop us a line?
We’d love to hear from you.
